posted Apr 2, 2012, 9:52 PM by Camano Wildlife Habitat
Concerned that your kids or grandkids are spending too much time indoors? So are doctors and behavioral scientists who have studied the situation and given it a name: Nature Deficit Disorder.

Wed, Apr 18 at 7pm, Laura Spehar, who holds a Masters in Environmental Education, will explain that daily time outdoors improves children's physical, mental and emotional health and also boosts classroom performance. Learn creative activities that encourage the entire family to participate in outdoor fun and experience the wonder of nature. Program held at Camano Multipurpose Center (Blue Building), 141 East Camano Drive. This presentation is part of a public education series hosted the third Wednesday of the month by the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks, as part of the Island County watershed project.
