Learn about common mushrooms in the NW garden and neighborhood, both edible and inedible, and how they interact with trees and plants. You'll learn how they grow, where they grow, and tools and resources for identification.  Scott Chase, WSU Shore Stewards coordinator, Island County, will provide mushroom tips, Wed., June 19, 7 p.m., at the Camano Multipurpose Center (blue building), 141 East Camano Drive.

If you've heard Scott speak on mushrooms before, please note that he has recently revised his powerpoint presentation.  This will be an expanded version of the talk Scott will provide for the FOCIP potluck this month.

This presentation is part of a public education series hosted by the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks, as part of the Island County watershed project.  For information about Camano's wildlife project, visit www.camanowildlifehabitat.org, call 360-387-2236, or e-mail camanowildlifehabitat@gmail.com
