8/21 7pm BWH Program - It’s a Shore Thing: Beaches, Clean Water, and our Local Wildlife

posted Jul 24, 2013, 3:28 PM by Roxie Rochat

Join us on Aug. 21 at 7pm to learn how we can protect out precious water resources at the Camano Multipurpose Center (blue building), 141 East Camano Drive.

Camano Island, its beaches and shorelines are treasures with abundant wildlife and recreational opportunities. A critical aspect of everyday life is our influence on water quality. In this fun presentation, Futurewise and WSU experts will present information about key water quality and pollution issues and what you can do to help keep the water clean, including activities around the home and also septic systems. This presentation is part of “Puget Sound Starts Here” educational programs, sponsored by the Puget Sound Partnership and in association with Island County Department of Health. It’s a Shore Thing for our wildlife! For more information about shoreline science: Shore-Science.org/Stanwood-Camano.

This presentation is part of a public education series hosted by the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks, as part of the Island County watershed project.
