A Celebration of Life for Idie Ulsh

posted Jul 3, 2015, 9:30 PM by Roxie Rochat
We're most sad to report that Idie Ulsh, who was scheduled to present our July program, passed away in June 2015.

Idie Ulsh, Master Birder and former president of Seattle Audubon, a birder for 40 years, had a particular expertise in birdsong. Idie’s interest expanded from birds to other flying creatures, including butterflies and dragonflies, and she was co-editor of photographs for The Butterflies of Cascadia. She was the founder and past president of the Washington Butterfly Association, and taught classes for both WABA and Seattle Audubon. Idie traveled widely to feed her birding and butterflying habit and took photographs everywhere she went.  She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life for Idie Ulsh will be held 2PM Saturday, August 1st at the Center for Urban Horticulture on/by the University of Washington campus in Seattle.  The event is open to anyone who desires to attend.  There are many who knew Idie and whose hearts were touched in various ways.
