Friends of Camano Island Parks strives to keep Camano a wildlife
friendly island by training volunteers to serve as Habitat Stewards to help the community create, preserve, enhance, and restore wildlife
habitat. The training includes topics ranging from identifying native plants to creating a personal wildlife sanctuary.
Unfortunately, last year’s training was modified due to low
registration. The previous two trainings had been five Thursdays in
February and March from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m., and included two Saturday
field trips. Before planning another Habitat Stewards Training, we are seeking ideas. If you’re interested in the class, please let us
know if you’d prefer a different time of year, a condensed version
during a couple weekends, or have another suggestion. Let us know by calling 360-387-2236 or e-mailing camanowildlifehabitat@gmail.com. |
