Envirotek has started construction on
their new office across the street from the blue
building/CASA which will include
a rain garden and backyard wildlife habitat. Jen and Alan want
their office property to be a place for public education.
While we looked at the rain garden site, we noticed many
native plants that could be salvaged and used in the rain
garden.
Some
construction activities coming up soon will impact this spot,
so Jen will be salvaging plants on Friday September 22nd.
Would any of you be available that day to help out? Please let us know if you can help. We'll start at 10:00 am, Friday 9/22. Park across the street at the blue building (Camano Multipurpose Center, next to CASA animal shelter) and walk across (carefully!). Bring
gloves, sturdy shoes/boots, water for selves, your favorite shovel if
you prefer to use your own, any large pots you don't need. A few sets of pruners might also be helpful. We're not sure how long we'll be there, so please bring snacks or a lunch if you would like to stay more than a couple of hours. |
