The Washington Native Plant Society’s Salal Chapter is holding its annual spring sale Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10 a. m. to noon at the Native Plant Garden area of the Skagit Display Gardens located at Washington State University-North West Research and Extension Center, 16650 State Highway 536 in Mount Vernon, WA.

Expect to find a good selection of native trees, shrubs, bulbs, perennials, ground covers and ferns.

For more information on this and other WNPS sales, see www.wnps.org. Email Brenda Cunningham if you'd like a list of the sale plants.

The Salal Native Plant Garden is located behind the Master Gardener Discovery Garden at the NW Research and Extension Center on Memorial Highway (16650 State Route 536), west of Mount Vernon. Built by volunteers from the Salal Chapter of the WA Native Plant Society, the garden is a tremendous resource for homeowners who want to learn how to incorporate more native plants into their landscaping.

If you would like to learn about propagating native plants, can help with garden maintenance, or can volunteer to help with the plant sale, please email Brenda.  Plant Sale volunteers will have access to pre-sales this year!
