Registration Now Open for 2019 Habitat Stewards Training

Learn how to garden for wildlife and create a personal wildlife sanctuary in you own backyard. Friends of Camano Island Parks’ Camano Wildlife Habitat Project strives to keep Camano a wildlife friendly island by training Habitat Stewards to help the community create, preserve, enhance, and restore wildlife habitat.

The training will be offered at the Island County Multipurpose Center, 141 N East Camano DriveWednesday evening sessions are January 16, February 20, March 20, April 17, May 15, and June 19 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. It will also include five field trips on Saturdays — January 19, February 23, March 23, April 20, May 18 — from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

The training fee is a donation of time or money to assist FOCIP’s Camano Wildlife Habitat Project.  If you are not a Friends of Camano Island Parks member, there is an additional $10 fee for the annual FOCIP membership.
