Join
Friends of Camano Island Parks members on a guided community walk at
Elger Bay Preserve Saturday, Dec 6. Meet at 9:50 a.m. at the junction of
Dry Lake Road and Elger Bay Road, just north of Elger Bay Elementary
School. This is a fairly level trail with one 50-foot elevation gain.
The walk includes the signed, interpretive Elger Bay Nature Tail, a
demonstration area of the Camano Wildlife Habitat project. The
distance of the walk is approximately 2 to 2.5 miles. The approximately
two-hour walk takes place rain or shine. Wear appropriate clothes and
sturdy shoes or boots. Dogs are not allowed on Winter Walks because of safety concerns. Trail
booklets will be available at the walk for a suggested $1 donation. For
