SUNDAY, April 10, 8 am - noon Spring Birding on Camano

Pam Pritzl, Skagit Audubon, and Roxie Rochat, CWH Habitat Steward, will lead a tour of rich bird-viewing areas on Camano Island Sunday, April 10, 8 am - noon.  Come walk the shoreline and marsh area trails at English Boom Historical Park located on Skagit Bay; then explore Iverson Beach Preserve, located on Port Susan Bay, observing diverse habitats that include extensive salt water mudflats, marsh and beach, with shrubs and cropland nestled against a forested hillside. Meet at Terry's Corner Park and Ride, 860 N. Sunrise, behind Camano Island Coffee Roasters (green bldg.) to stage in carpools and get directions to the county parks.  Dress in layers appropriate for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring binoculars or scopes.  No dogs, please. Tour will take place rain or shine; no reservations required.
