posted Mar 30, 2015, 9:36 PM by Roxie Rochat
Join Lisa Taylor, author of Your Farm in the City and the Maritime Northwest Garden Guide, for a lively discussion about growing food gardens with wildlife in mind Wednesday, April 15, 7 pm at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 N East Camano Drive (Blue Building). Taylor will talk about annual and perennial edible plants that are treasured by people and our woodland neighbors. Participants will explore gardening practices that benefit wildlife while keeping them out of the vegetables so that gardeners and wildlife can better live harmoniously on Camano Island. The Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks, hosts public presentations the third Wednesday of the month.  For information, call 360-387-2236, visit www.camanowildlifehabitat.org or e-mail camanowildlifehabitat@gmail.com.
