This program was originally scheduled for January, but had to be rescheduled because of January's snowstorm. Snags: Wildlife Trees in the
Backyard
Chris Anderson, WDFW Wildlife
Biologist
Learn how trees can actually create
more habitats for wildlife after they die than when they are alive! Dead
trees, snags, are important in both natural and landscaped settings, providing
for the needs of many species that may not be commonly found there otherwise.
Chris Anderson, WDFW, will discuss steps for assessing and managing perceived
hazard tree situations on your property, while considering
wildlife value. The
Wednesday, March 21, program begins at 7 p.m. at the
Camano Multipurpose Center (Blue Building), 141 East Camano
Drive. This presentation is part of a public
education series hosted the third Wednesday of the month by the Camano Wildlife
Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks, as part of the
Island County watershed project. For information about Camano's wildlife
