Learn how with careful planning, your landscape can provide
sustenance for wildlife even in winter months at 7 p.m.
Wed., Nov. 18, at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 East Camano Drive (blue
building by tennis courts). John Christianson, Christianson's Nursery,
will share examples of the types of plants that provide food or other elements
birds and other critters can use throughout this challenging season. Also learn
what fall-winter maintenance techniques will be most beneficial for maintaining
habitat and providing a garden of continued interest for the homeowner. This presentation is part of a public education series hosted the
third Wednesday of the month by the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored
by Friends of Camano Island Parks as part of the Island County watershed
project. For information about Camano's wildlife project, call 387-2236 or
