Discover how wetlands retain and purify our water as well as provide for many species of wildlife. Kat Morgan, Nature Conservancy Program Manager, will explain how a wetland's ecological features provide many benefits at 7 p.m. Wed., Oct. 21, at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 East Camano Drive (blue building by tennis courts). Learn about Nature Conservancy projects in our area that are protecting or restoring these vibrant environments and why it is important to keep wetlands healthy. This presentation is part of a public education series hosted the third Wednesday of the month by the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks as part of the Island County watershed project.
