At 7 pm Wed, Oct 20, learn about the wonderful botanic diversity of the Pacific Northwest and why it is important to preserve it.  Russ Holmes, retired botanist with the forest service, will share the diverse plant species native to our region, the benefits of this diversity and how it is threatened, and ways each of us can help protect it.  Meet at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 East Camano Drive (blue building by the tennis courts).  This presentation is part of a public education series hosted the third Wednesday of the month by the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks as part of the Island County watershed project.
