Join
us to learn how farming and providing for wildlife can go hand in
hand Wednesday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m., at the Camano Multipurpose Center (blue
building), 141 N East Camano Drive. Zach and Hailey Abbey manage Ananda
Farm on the south end of Camano Island and will share how they use
methods from natural farming, permaculture, and regenerative agriculture
to grow abundant, nutritious food and enhance all the life around the
farm, from soil microbes to bees, birds, alpacas, and humans. You can do
the same in your garden, too! The Camano Wildlife Habitat Project, sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks, hosts public presentations the third Wednesday of the month. For information, call 360-387-2236, visit www.camanowildlifehabitat.org, or email camanowildlifehabitat@gmail.com. |
